By the time we started seeding Durum wheat (May 20) the ground had dried considerably. Moreover we were working on Flax and Lentil stubble which does not trap snow like wheat stubble does.

With Canola Barley and Durum, all the fertilizer is banded 5.5 inches from the seed and about 1 inch lower. The truck box is usually filled with fertilizer while the truck trailer is filled with seed. The seeder has 2 tanks for this purpose, when one is empty we usually fill both of them.
